1° Day: WELCOME TO VENICE
Arrival at Venice Airport and transfer to your Hotel in the surroundings of Venice.
2° Day: VENICE AT LEISURE
Breakfast
and transfer to Tronchetto to cath the private ferry to St. Mark’s
Square. See the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. In
the afetrnoon free time in Venice for your own visits and shopping.
Return to Tronchetto by boat and transfer to the Hotel by bus.
3° Day: VERONA/LAKE GARDA
Breakfast and departure to the elegant city of Verona, legendary home of the
Shakespeare’s
star-crossed lovers. Walk with local guide past the roman Arena to the
reputed famous balcony in the courtyard of the Capulet home. After free
time to explore, the tour continues to Sirmione, a little fishermen’s
village with Its SPA and Scaliger’s Castle of the 13th century.
Departure to Milan.
4° Day: MILAN
Breakfast and meet
with local guide. City tour by bus to see one of the most important
cities of Italy for Its commerce industry and Its banking houses. Visit
to the Cathedral, the Vittorio Emanuele’s Gallery, the Scala Opera House
with Its beautiful Square (just outside) and the Sforza Castle. Free
time in Milan.
5° Day: LAKE COMO
Breakfast and
excursion to Lake Como. The visit starts in Como with “Piazza del Duomo”
and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore, the historic town hall and
the “Torre del Comune”, a beautiful scene full of art. Afer that,
departure for Tremezzo and visit of the wonderful “Villa Carlotta” of
the 17th century. From Cadenabbia you can reach the small charming
village of Bellagio, the Lake Como’s pearl. Back to Milan.
6° Day: CINQUE TERRE
Head
for the port of La Spezia and meet with local guide and departure by
train to Vernazza, Manarola and Monterosso, three of the five small
scenic villages called Cinque Terre, one of Italy’s most beautiful
landscapes Heritage of UNESCO. Return to La Spezia along the rugged
ligurian coast by boat.
7° Day: PISA AND ARRIVAL IN FLORENCE
Breakfast and drive to Pisa to see the incredible Leaning Tower. See also the
splendid Cathedral and Bapistery. Free time. Departure to Florence.
8° Day: FLORENCE, BIRTHPLACE OF THE RENAISSANCE
Breakfast
and meeting with local guide. The visit starts with Duomo or Cathedral
of Santa Maria del Fiore, the baptistery and bell tower, piazza della
Signoria (open air museum), exterior of the famous Uffizi Gallery and
Ponte Vecchio the old bridge. The joys of Florence are varied so the
afternoon will be free for your own personal exploration.
9° Day: TUSCANY / UMBRIA
Breakfast.
Journey through the picture-perfect scenery of the tuscan hills, where
deep-green cypress trees pierce blue skies and olive groves hug the
rolling hillsides. Stop for a tasting for local products and wine in
Tuscany. Arrival in Rome.
10° Day: ROME
Breakfast and
meeting with your local guide and enjoy the very best of the city’s
highlights including a tour at the Vatican Museums, culminating beneath
Michelangelo’s famous ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. The visit ends with
the visit of the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon the
visit goes on with the spectacular Trevi Fountain, don’t forget to
throw a coin in the beautiful fountain as you are guaranteed to return
to Rome if you do; Navona Square, Spain Steps and the Pantheon.
11° Day: ANCIENT ROME
Breakfast and meeting with the local guide. The visit proceed to the ancient
Rome
with the roman Forum and the grand ruins of Colosseum, also known as
Amphitheatrum Flavium. Afternoon free time for your own visits and
shopping.
12° Day: POMPEII AND SORRENTO
Breakfast and
departure to Sorrento. Stop for a visit with local guide in Pompeii,
buried in AD79 by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius. After the visit
departure to your Hotel in Sorrento/surroundings.
13° Day: CAPRI EXCURSION
Breakfast
and transfer to the pier in Sorrento. Meeting with the local guide and
cruise to Capri Island for a visit. Capri is known as the 'Pearl of the
Mediterranean' and a trip to this marvelous island is definitely
worthwhile for any visitor to Italy. Tour of the Island by minibus and
free time for own visit.
14° Day: “SASSI” OF MATERA
Breakfast
and departure along country roads to Matera and exploration of the
extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Site “Sassi”, a labyrinth of cave
dwellings, churches, staircases and arches, hewn out of the solid rock.
Mel Gibson chose Matera as the biblical backdrop for his film “The
Passion of the Christ”. After the visit continue to Apulia.
15° Day: ALBEROBELLO
Alberobello
is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Its narrow street crowded with
conical, white-washed trulli. After the visit transfer to Locorotondo,
the paradise for wine-lovers, for a tasting of red wine and local
products.
16° Day: ARRIVEDERCI
Breakfast and transfer to Bari airport. Bid farewell to Bella Italia.
